I hope you finished all the ice cream cake.On a serious note: Now that your May Scope article is out I'm hoping your bloggers understand why you haven't had time the last couple months to keep up.Your Dad and I have so appreciated having you with us those weekends and also I can't tell you how much it meant to me to have you with me at Mayo for those three days of procedures. Your Dad and I could not ask for a more loving and caring daughter then our Susie. I'm hoping your article will reach people all over and make t hem realize how important it really is to have symptoms of acid relex checked by their doctor and more important if they are diagnosed and feel they do not have heartburn to make sure they are tested further because that is what happened in my case no symptoms just occasionally choking on food and if it had not occurred I would not have had any reason to approach my doctor to schedule more testing.

MALI: Looking to communities to lead malaria fight
He is saving the lives of hundreds of children infected with malaria, many of whom would otherwise have died after a slow, agonising descent into delirium and unconsciousness. “It's not a miracle what I do," he said. “It's simple." Keita bicycles around the six villages in his area carrying a small white box with a red cross on it. Inside are little white sticks and needles. When he enters a village, mothers with sick children gather around. Keita takes out a needle and pricks a child's index finger then smears a drop of blood on the stick which will quickly indicate if the child has malaria or not. Of 14 tests administered by Keita on the day IRIN met him, 12 had malaria. Keita then handed the mother six Artemisin-based Combination Therapy (ACT) pills and told her to give the child two tablets a day.

He pushed through Congress the NAFTA and the World Trade Organization (WTO) agreements that represented the greatest surrender in our history of local, state and national sovereignty to an autocratic, secretive system of transnational governance. This system subordinated workers, consumers and the environment to the supremacy of globalized commerce. That was just for starters. Between 1996 and 2000, he drove legislation through Congress that concentrated more power in the hands of giant agribusiness, large telecommunications companies and the biggest jackpot-opening the doors to gigantic mergers in the financial industry. The latter so-called "financial modernization law" sowed the permissive seeds for taking vast financial risks with other peoples' money (ie. pensioners and investors) that is now shaking the economy to recession.
Prem Wrap: A Day Before Grand Slam Sunday
The FA Cup has too much tradition to be reduced to a mere cash lottery for lower-division clubs who manage to survive and advance. The FA could still let a potential FA Cup underdog get that fourth bid in 2009 if they wanted, but it seems they bow to the Big Four, just like everyone else. More's the pity.Today's Premier League scores are after the jump.Manchester City 4-2 Bolton. For a while there, Gary Megson's motley crew looked like they might break Man City's home winning streak. Alas, Bolton's defense collapsed in the second half. Their 2-1 halftime lead was erased in 3 minutes, and Martin Petrov set up Darius Vassell for the game winner in the 77th minute. Man City may actually finish the weekend in 4th place if their rivals take points from Liverpool on Sunday.West Ham 0-2 Everton. Nigerian striker Yakubu scored his fourth consecutive Premier League goal for Everton at the end of a tense, back-and-forth first half.
