| Rival parties are preparing to leave Labour isolated at Holyrood this ...
INCLUDING a ban on parties putting their leader's name on the list vote to sneakily claim top place on the ballot.[/quote] I agree, all parties should be required to identify themselves appropriately. Maggie Broon needs to eliminate the term, Labour, from the name of his party. It's continued inclusion is an insult to those who built the original party and to the hard working men and women of this country. Nick Clegg needs to eliminate the terms, Liberal and Democratic, as neither are apparent in his fading group. Dave Cameron needs only to add UNIONIST to his party name, to properlyreflect its true character, CONSERVATIVE AND UNIONIST' All three need to add Westminster to properly reflect their status. .

Nikki Catling is celebrating the new year, big time. She is heading for the sales with the aim of buying slinky glamorous dresses and tops to show off her size 14 figure. It is a size she never thought she would reach. This time last year she was wearing huge size 24 dresses and her choice of clothing was severely limited. Nikki, from Epsom, who is in her 20s, has lived with a weight problem all her life. When she was 12 she had reached a size 20 and was breathless when she tried to take part in normal activities for children of that age. And it got worse as she got older. She weighed more than 16 stone when she was 16 and the weight crept on and on. .

Infantilism Of the Left
This past summer, organizers provided refreshments and entertainment to liven up the sparsely attended events. These rallies reminded me of the title of an old movie, "What Did You Do in the War, Daddy?" The progeny of the protesters would likely hear this response: "I did everything I could to bash our country and loathe the military." Last Friday, as I passed the park's gazebo, I noticed two individuals seated at a table while a third stood nearby, sipping something from a cardboard container. A large banner that read "Food not Bombs" was draped from the columns of the gazebo, but no one else seemed interested in partaking of the free sustenance. This city has an obesity problem, and I have yet to see any emaciated indigents in this borough who are suffering because of the war in Iraq.

Michael Rivera Guillen had his head stuck out the window and was moving it back and forth, back and forth, like the pendulum on a grandfather clock. This was the 5-year-old's first time on a train. "I wanted to share the experience with my grandchildren," said Rivera's grandmother, Xinia Durán Meza, who said it was her first time on the train as well. "It's enchanting," she said, "everything is so beautiful." The Tren a la Tica is one of the oldest in Central America, opening to the public in 1903. It ran for the first time as an electric train in 1930 and is the second oldest of its kind in Latin America, according to train officials. At the height of the era, the train institute employed over 3,000 people. The train was shut down in 1995 under President Jose María Figures Olsen but finally reopened in 2001 with the help of a tourist organization called American Travel.
